I would highly recommend that Total Learning Concepts be included
in your database as an organization qualified to work with
individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries. The staff is very
kind, courteous, and understanding. They place each student with the
tutor they feel would best match the student's academic needs and
personality. Each student is greeted by name when they come in the
door.
The tutors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and extremely
qualified. They are provided with the results of the individual
student's strengths and weaknesses according to academic and
motivational screenings available at the center. The tutoring
sessions are filled with motivating activities planned according to
the student's needs, or by assisting the student with homework,
reviewing for tests, and teaching study skills. The tutors are
flexible according to the individual student's needs.
My husband and I have been very pleased with our daughter's
progress since joining the center. They have been very cooperative
working with our daughter and us. They are anxious to answer
questions, willing to listen to concerns, and schedule tutoring
sessions to fit the student's schedule. We receive a monthly report
documenting her progress and future recommendations. Total Learning
Concepts truly has the best interest of the student as their first
priority. We are looking forward to another successful school year.

It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I would like to say
a few words about the people of Total Learning Concepts.
We found that our 15 year old son who generally dislikes
homework, classes, and studying math, came to really like all three
at Total Learning. He said the reason was the great teachers who
listened to his problems with the subject, answered his questions,
were patient and really took an interest in him, and helped his
understanding of math.
He attended two Sunday classes, also, on how to study, take
notes, and organize - and, no joke, he told us he liked it. This was
great news for us and helpful to him.
We would like to stress his main reason for enjoying Total
Learning. The people are really great and interested in his success,
and their concern for his learning motivates him. They teach by
example, by the personal example, of everyone at Total Learning.
They are well trained and professional and interested in the process
of teaching and learning.
They helped bring my son from a 65 to an 87 in six weeks. They
worked hard and so did my son, but only did so because his teachers
at Total Learning not just taught math, they motivated him. They are
interested in him.
Total Learning is great. The people are great, and anyone with an
ounce of common sense can feel it, really feel it, as soon as you
walk through their front door. In short, they deliver. They saved
our son.
